Club Record goes again

Port Talbot 25TT R25/3L 7th Sept

Once again Hillingdon CC went out to this great course on a great day, with a tail wind out to the turn and a head wind back. The early Junior and Ladies event had a stiffer breeze but as the day went on the wind dropped. U23 Squad rider Gregory Holmes rode early on with a 57:09 and was 2nd fastest Juv. In the afternoon event Paul came in first with a PBĀ by 40 secs of 55:12 next Andrew came in with a 56:02 then Scott with a 53:26. Setting a new Team record once again which was set just a few months ago by the same 3 riders? Comp Record went by Matt Botrill with an amazing 45:43 and hutch only a 46:49.

Paul Egan also rode a PB for a 10 the day before on the Tring course with a 21:27 so a good weekend for him.

Sunday 7th September Hogs Hill RR

Peter rode the first of the three race autumn series at Hog Hill. Peter broke away from the very start and after one lap was caught by two riders and then by another three to make it a six man break. The break worked well and on the bell lap they lapped the field. When it came to the all out sprint for the line they caught the younger category bunch and all chaos was caused as these riders still had three laps to go and Peter some how had to weave in and out of these riders to finish third in his category.

Gregory Holmes rode will in with the 3 Cats and managed to stay with the E1-2 for a few laps until losing touch as well with a few laps to go.Will help Greg at the finish by leading him out to take the win in his group and finishing 15th overall.
